Welcome to this part 6 of treatments for cancer, hope you all enjoyed last weeks article on apricot kernals (laetrile), can you believe that something so natural can be so powerful?….well yes!!! there are no chemicals or drugs made by man as powerful as one made by mother nature, every cure known to man ultimately comes from the earth. Did you know that we have living proof right here in Inishowen that wheat-grass successfully treats cancer? After reading a recent Sunday World report on how “wheat grass” cured an Inishowen man with cancer, I just had to do an article about this wonderful plant.
What is Wheat Grass
Although wheatgrass comes from the same plant that produces the wheat grain used to make flour, wheat-grass is harvested before the plant matures and refers to the young grass before the grain is produced. The Latin botanical plant name for wheat and wheatgrass is called Triticum Aestivum, which is part of the Poaceae family of grasses. The roots and underground stems may be used in herbal remedies.Wheatgrass is without doubt a powerful healing agent – both for the body as a whole, andwhen applied to the skin.
History tells us that the grasses in general have been known to have healing properties going back several thousand years. Ann Wigmore in the 70′s cured many with terminal cancer and other chronic illnesses using freshly juiced wheatgrass. In the late 1930′s, an agricultural scientist, Dr. George Kohler and his colleagues found that cereal grasses greatly enhanced fertility, growth and the general health of laboratory animals. Wheat –grass is easily grown at home in pots, but it does take a really good juicer to properly extract all the juice. Search on youtube how to grow and juice wheat-grass, there are a lot of videos on there.
Studies into anti cancer properties of Wheat-Grass
In 2001, the National Institute of Health in the United States funded a large double blind trial of 180 individuals in Quidong, China(Egner. A. et. al.)
This province has the highest incidence of liver cancer in the world that is most often caused by an aflatoxin, a type of fungus. Some proponents of wheat-grass therapy equate chlorophyll (the component that makes wheatgrass and other plants green) with hemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood, saying that wheatgrass raises the body’s oxygen levels.Using modern assay techniques, researchers were able to demonstrate a doubling of the induction period (the time taken for the cancer to develop) from twenty to forty years in participants who took a daily dose of Chlorophylls. Chlorophylls are constituents of the human diet and have been found to be effective anticarcinogens in several animal models. Astonishing results indeed, but the medical community still remains silent. Why this silence one might ask?, well as we know there is no profit in wellness, pharmacutical companies are just not interested in mother nature cures. In another study (Peryt. B. et al. 1992) it is shown that it is not just the chlorophyll that treats cancer, in this study wheatgrass extract significantly reduced the production of benzo-pyrene metabolites in rats. In other words, cell mutation was reduced causing a reduction in the likelihood of cancer developing. So wheatgrass appears to be a natural cancer prophylactic. Wheat-Grass cures Inishowen Man!
Danny Mc Donald from Dunaff in Urris had been suffering with chronic cancer of the stomachand was told by doctors he would be “dead in a matter of weeks”.As Danny says in his own words;-“I know a lot of doctors think wheat-grass doesn’t have the qualities to kill cancer, but I am living proof that it does.
